Nitro is my bud. Nitro is a=the result of a breeding where I used semen from a Hall of Fame, 2 x National Field Champion that was one of the most prolific producers our breed has ever seen. Hunser was born in 1968 and his owners had the foresight to collect him for future use. When I looked at the overall pedigree of the Weimaraners competing in the field today, I felt that the genetics all went back to the same two or three dogs within just one or two generations. For this reason, I felt that going back over eight generations would help me pull some great genetics forward without negatively impacting COI and hybrid vigor. It is hard to express how pleased I am with the results. Every pup from that litter is an exceptional bird dog. Nitro entered the WCA All Age Top Ten list in 2019 finishing #2 that year and remaining a fixture of the Top Ten list every year since.
